JENSEN ADVISORY GROUP
Commercial Real Estate
Sectors we support
The research and market intelligence that feed underwrites and occupancy decisions for property types where the diligence is technical and the stakes are high.
Services
Extra senior bandwidth for lean deal teams. JAG gathers and vets the comps, rent rolls, market inputs, and diligence materials that feed the client's underwrite — so their analysts can focus on the model.
For corporate occupiers evaluating lease economics, renewals, and site decisions. JAG analyzes the options and advises on strategy and negotiation.
Submarket analysis, demand assessment, and positioning research for owners and developers weighing a deal or a site.
Also available: portfolio strategy — hold/sell analysis and asset-level performance review.
JAG Partners
JAG Partners is the principal-investment side of Jensen Advisory Group. Deal by deal, we invest alongside a small group of partners in specialized commercial real estate — the same property types our advisory work covers every day.
Industrial, lab, and R&D facilities that come to market through closures, consolidations, and restructurings — acquired at a basis below replacement cost, with a clear view of who uses that space next.
Sites whose current use undersells the real estate: adaptive reuse, lab and advanced-manufacturing conversions, and value unlocked through entitlement and rezoning.
Facilities positioned for tenants growing into specialized space — R&D, advanced manufacturing, and the defense, space, and aerospace supply chain moving back onshore.
Power- and connectivity-advantaged sites serving data and AI infrastructure demand, evaluated with the same research discipline JAG brings to client work.
No blind pool. Each opportunity is presented on its own merits, and partners choose the deals they join.
Our own capital is invested in every deal we sponsor, alongside our partners.
JAG Partners will not pursue an asset tied to an active advisory engagement without written disclosure and client consent. Client information is never used in investment decisions.
This website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security. Any offering will be made only through definitive offering documents to qualified investors.
Principal
Michael Jensen is the founder and Principal of Jensen Advisory Group (JAG), an independent commercial real estate advisory firm serving investors, developers, and corporate occupiers. With 11 years of experience across California and major U.S. metropolitan markets, Michael brings senior-level research and analytical rigor to clients who need it most during high-stakes decisions.
Prior to founding JAG, Michael built his career at CBRE, developing deep expertise in deal-support research, lease analysis, and market feasibility work. He launched JAG to offer that same caliber of analysis without the constraints and conflicts of a traditional brokerage platform — working exclusively on a retainer or fixed-project-fee basis, never commission.
JAG's practice is built around three core capabilities: deal-support research that feeds directly into a developer's underwriting process (comps, rent rolls, and market inputs — with clients retaining full ownership of their models and conclusions); lease analysis and tenant strategy for corporate occupiers; and market and feasibility studies that inform acquisition and expansion decisions.
Michael works as an extension of his clients' teams — supplying the inputs that sharpen their thinking, not selling transactions. For investment and development teams that need experienced research bandwidth without adding headcount, and for occupiers navigating complex real estate decisions, JAG delivers the analytical depth of a large platform with the responsiveness and alignment of an independent advisor.
